Winter shoot survival tips


My top tips for enjoying your winter outdoor shoot.


We are lucky to live and shoot on the beautiful Newcastle coastline. On a sunny afternoon you most likely won't notice the cold until we have finished and the sun has set.

So I thought id put together a short list of ideas to make your shoot experience a comfortable one.


  1. Wardrobe- I always discuss wardrobe pre shoot. Your comfort is my number one priority, and winter style is just as beautiful as summer. Cosy chunky knits add texture and dimension. Scarves and beanies are a great way to keep warm.
  2. Be prepared- Bring a towel, just incase we get too close to the water. Keep warm and de sand before getting back in the car.
  3. Bring a change of warm comfortable clothes, to be dry and warm on your drive home.
